He has been a Hematologist/Oncologist for 25 years and has participated in a wide variety of clinical trials. He served as the vice-chair of COG A9952, a group-wide Phase III study of Low-Grade Astrocytoma. He is currently a study committee member for several Beat Childhood Cancer (formerly NMTRC) clinical trials. He is the Rady Children’s Hospital Principal Investigator for the Beat Childhood Cancer Consortium and the Children’s Oncology Group. He has also worked in the area of international outreach to develop models for successful implementation of joint Pediatric Oncology Programs in Mexico and the US.
